Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
